How to find articles at Glenn Science and Engineering Library Portal
I have a specific article I'm looking for!
Use the search our site feature to look for the journal title. This will tell you if we have that journal in electronic format. Our electronic titles are either purchased individually on the Electronic Journals page or part of one of our full-text databases: IEEE Xplore , TORPEDOUltra .
If it is not available there, it might be available in print at the Library. Search our catalog for the title of the Journal to see if we own it and which years are available.
I have a specific journal i'm looking for
Follow the directions above for finding an article.
I am looking for articles on a specific topic
If you do not have a specific article in mind, but rather a general subject area in which you are interested in researching, then you can use one of our databases:
- Aeronautics and Space Database ,
- Engineering Village ,
- Web of Science
- or any other source found on our Research Databases page.
Generally these sites are used to search a topic by subject or keyword. Results will identify journal articles, etc. and in some cases connect to full text. If full text is not indicated you may use the method above to find your full text article or request it through Interlibrary Loan.
Another method of identifying current journal articles is through table of contents alerting through ingenta.
